The sixth track off of The Aphelion's debut album, The Labour Division
At this point in the story, the Labour Division have created a plan of attack, and now are braving the great desert that parts their home from the Father's. Spirits are low, and yet, they push onwards. On the other side of the walls surrounding the Father's promise land, he is told of a suspicion that the Labour Division are coming, and yet dismisses it.
lyrics
I slump along through desert sand
(Scorching heat upon my back)
Through skies shattered by my kind
(We carry on, poised to attack)
Our oppressors cried "obey me"
(From promise lands across the sea)
As indulgence and gluttony
(Met their ever greedy, repulsive needs)
We've come so far
We must not waver now
We've come so far
To take back what we're owed
We brave the throes
Of our malefic world
We will endure the pain
For those who will proceed us
We will crash their lives
Into the ground
Until their ivory towers
Come crumbling down
We pass the spiral arch to the sky
(Climb the dunes, tall as towers of worlds before)
They would suffer this strain when heavens above
(Brings eternal rain, or the beating sun)
We carry the weight of our Father's love
(Climb the dunes, tall as towers of worlds before)
As we make our way through this malefic world
We are so close
We cannot waver now
We are so close
To taking back what's our own
They are fools, to endure all this strife
They know not what pain now awaits
At the walls of the promise land, what holds
All the lies which those before them were told

Antlion are a killer tech-death/prog metal band from Ottawa that do great stuff. The Prescient is full of math-y, crazy heavy tracks. Definitely worth a listen. The Aphelion
